Are you interested in building a career that makes a difference and creates a legacy? Parker University, the fourth-fastest growing college in Texas and the fastest-growing college in Dallas, is currently searching for a Medical Neurologist to join our rapidly expanding team at the Parker Performance Institute in Frisco, TX!
Parker Performance Institute (PPI) is an expanding integrated team of healthcare professionals focused on the personal level of healing for people with neurological, musculoskeletal, and sports injury problems and those who want to perform better in sport and life.
Our team masterfully incorporates hospitality, value, and personalized services to help people reach their full potential, regardless of age, gender, limitation, or natural ability.
The PPI mission is to advance people’s health and abilities so they can pursue their potential to be better in sport and life.
PPI began in 2019 as a prototype clinic, called Synapse, at Parker University in Dallas Texas. That clinic delivered mostly conservative forms of neurological rehabilitation to patients with complicated issues such as TBI, concussion, post-stroke impairment, balance deficiencies, and dysfunction from limb loss. Most patients were veterans who underwent intensive two-week trials of care and experienced tremendous results. During this test of concept phase, athletic performance training was eventually combined with the neurological rehabilitation services and patients received even better outcomes physically, emotionally, and mentally.
PPI is the evolution of that prototype clinic, and the team currently consists of a Medical Neurologist, three Doctors of Chiropractic with master’s degrees in Clinical Neuroscience and Strength and Performance, a nurse practitioner who is also a Doctor of Chiropractic, and a Dietician. The team is seeking to add a second Medical Neurologist and Massage Therapists.
The Medical Neurologist employed at PPI will experience an exceptional working environment. With over 10,300 square feet, PPI has ample newly constructed space, located in the prestigious Baylor Scott & White building on the Star campus in Frisco, Texas. The clinic space includes 4 massage therapy rooms, four medical rooms, sixteen additional rooms reserved for manual therapies, therapeutic modalities, TMS, acupuncture, cryotherapy, computerized traction, a separate area for neurological assessment and therapy, and approximately 2,000 square feet of open space for rehabilitation, therapeutic exercise, and performance training.
The patient base is newly established, quickly growing, and includes people who suffer from post-stroke impairment, symptoms from concussion, TBI, spinal disc displacement and stenosis, athletic injuries from youth and pro sports, general musculoskeletal conditions and those that want to improve their performance in sport. PPI also provides services for men’s health issues, annual physicals for our patients who do not have primary care relationships, and weight loss.
Reporting to the Medical Director (a Medical Neurologist), Director of Clinical Operations, and the Vice Provost for Parker University, the Medical Neurologist will operate a fulltime practice devoted to general neurologic issues, delivering and ordering neurodiagnostic tests, coordinating care plans with the other team members, working with TBI, post-stroke impairment, concussion, and nerve injury cases as well as issues in athletic performance related to findings in the brain.
This opportunity is perfect for a neurologist looking to start a practice under the tutelage of our highly experience Medical Director or someone looking to transition an existing practice under the management umbrella of PPI.
DESIRED QUALIFICATION AND ATTRIBUTES
The successful candidate for this position will be a dynamic and visionary neurologist with a bachelor’s degree in a science discipline, medical degree, active Texas medical license, three years of specialty training in an accredited neurology residency program, and three years of experience as a practicing neurologist.
