TNS Members:

The novel Covid 19 Pandemic has affected every aspect of our lives. This is especially true for our practice of neurology. There are too many variables to balance. Continuing to care for our patients at the hospital and our offices, while trying to protect ourselves and our families. Anticipating the financial impact on ourselves and our practices, while exploring the dizzying changes in health care delivery with Telemedicine, billing, and deciding what's essential and what's elective, are few of the multiple issues that we are dealing with from day to day and at times an hour to the next.  We are balancing all of this while striving to maintain a calm voice of reason to our families, co-workers, and communities.

Given the above, we added a COVID19/TELEMED Resource page on the TNS website for you to use as a reference - click here for more information. Members can find useful links to information on Telehealth, patients' education materials, as well as actionable tasks to advocate for our specialty to state and federal governments. The economics committee is in the process of producing an educational video to address some of these issues, too.

To understand the immediate issues facing our members and see how best TNS can help, please click here to complete a quick survey. We will be collecting data until Friday morning.

Lastly, after careful consideration of the evolving COVID-19 situation in Texas, the TNS board has decided to CANCEL the 2020 summer conference at the Westin Stonebriar Hotel in Dallas, Texas, July 24-25.  Though this conference is several months away, the TNS board wanted its members to devote their time and energy to their patients and practices.  However, we would like to encourage you to save-the-date for the 2021 Annual Winter Conference, February 5-7 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Austin, Texas.

If you have any questions, please let us know.  We are here to help.

Please stay healthy and safe.
