10th Annual Neuromuscular Disorders Seminar

April 11, 2026 | 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center - McNair Campus
7200 Cambridge Street, Houston, TX 77030

Neuromuscular medicine, a specialized branch of neurology, has experienced significant advancements over the past year, introducing new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches that directly impact both outpatient and inpatient neurological care. Since the last seminar, emerging evidence and innovations have reshaped clinical practice in areas such as inflammatory diabetic neuropathies, novel pharmacologic pipelines for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and updated treatment strategies for amyloidosis. Additionally, evolving knowledge in the diagnosis and management of sensory neuronopathies, small fiber neuropathy, and neuro-muscular complications of systemic conditions like Sjögren's syndrome necessitates ongoing education for clinicians. The introduction of new therapies for myasthenia gravis and the refined role of muscle biopsy in clinical decision-making further underscore the need for practitioners to stay current. To address these gaps, this conference will convene leading experts from prestigious institutions to provide evidence-based updates and practical guidance on these rapidly developing topics, ensuring neurologists and related specialists are equipped to deliver optimal patient care.
